The idea of perfection could be holding you back. Wanting to get things “right” and trying to do it all “properly” can be enough to stop anything happening at all. If you want to do something, do it. Chances are it won’t be perfect and you will make countless mistakes, but at least you would’ve started something. Starting something and not getting it quite right is better than not starting at all.
The perfection you seek does not exist. True perfection is found within imperfection. Things falling apart, breaking, not fitting together as you think they should. Things making a mess, spilling, not staying between the lines. Things falling over, being clumsy, being uncoordinated and clashing. This is the space where true perfection hides, the space where we learn and grow. This is the space where we are free to remember that nothing really matters except this precise moment. If we look closely enough we will discover the truth that we have been seeking, and the perfect imperfection of it all.
